6th Grade
Math, Science
and Social Studies

Room: 120

Sixth grade brings with it an exciting year of learning and growth! Our students will immerse themselves in the history and culture of ancient civilizations.  They will design experiments, test hypothesis and learn about the various systems of the human body. Each budding mathematician will develop an understanding of algebraic expressions, geometric figures and statistical measurements.  As life long learners and community leaders, they will develop personal mission statements, set new goals and design a path to achieve those goals.

About Me
This is my fourth year at Meridian Elementary where I have been both a general education teacher as well as a resource teacher.  I love sixth grade and the engaging conversations and learning that comes with it.  I was born and raised in Cincinnati,  Ohio. After graduating from high school, I moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Education degree from ASU, as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a Juris Doctorate degree. Go Devils!!  I am married with 5 children and 2 adorable granddaughters. Each of my children are either current or former Gilbert Public Schools students. I sincerely look forward to the experiences that come with each new school year and each new group of students.
